Products and services

he organisation is able to offer the following services: Real-time Kinematic surveys using the Global Positioning System (GPS) High precision control surveys for engineering, construction and mining projects Monitoring surveys for natural ground movements and structural deformation. 3 Dimensional Aerial Lidar scanning and High resolution Aerial photograph 3 Dimensional Scanning (3D) which is a solution for collecting accurate and detailed industrial and infrastructure as-built data. The scanner obtains 3D data in the form of a point cloud with millions of YXZ coordinates creating a real image of the scanned objects. Individual scans from different angles are stitched together to form a 3D image. The point cloud can be used to measure distances and clearances and can be processed into a 3D CAD model which can then be used to manipulate objects, thereby dramatically reducing storage requirements. Other benefits of laser scanning include avoiding clashes with existing piping and other structures, better design and communication of proposed modifications to the client, reduced re-work during shut downs, increased accuracy, completeness, reliability compared to manual as-built methods, and finally, a significant cost saving to the client. Using Laser Scanning to create 3D as-built intelligent modelling, African Consulting Surveyors can save clients time and money in a wide range of activities including retrofit and upgrade projects, buildings, bridges, tunnels, mining, ship-building and other similar projects.
