Opening Ceremony Keynote Speakers and First Panel Plenary Discussion announced for SPE’s 4th CTCE

London, UK (9 October 2017) – The Oil & Gas industry keenly awaits the Annual Caspian Technical Conference and Exhibition (CTCE), organised by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), taking place next month in Baku, Azerbaijan. The event will be hosted by SOCAR and supported by the entire oil & gas industry from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan.
Opening ceremony Keynote speakers have now been announced and include some of the leading experts from the oil and gas industry, confirmed speakers are:

The first high level Panel session on Modernisation, following the Opening Ceremony, will be looking at how major projects, typically with long procurement and engineering lead times need to leverage the accelerating and compounding capabilities of digital technologies, data analytics, improved sensors, geotagging technology, autonomous systems, and computer power to be able to move to the next level of production and efficiency and will see participation from:

This year’s CTCE will again be collaborating with the Azerbaijan Society of Petroleum
Geologists (ASPG), the Local Chapter of European Association of Geoscientists and
Engineers (EAGE) and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), providing delegates with the opportunity to attend – at no extra cost – all three conferences under one roof. It will provide the region’s oil and gas industry with an all-encompassing technical conference.
