Liquid Natural Gas (SLNG)

Company description

Singapore LNG Corporation Pte Ltd (SLNG) operates Singapore's first LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Terminal on Jurong Island. It was incorporated by the Energy Market Authority back in June 2009 to develop, build, own and operate Singapore’s, and Asia’s very first open access, multi-user LNG Terminal . Operational since May 2013, the Terminal has an initial throughput capacity of 3.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) with two 180,000 cubic metres LNG Storage Tanks and a primary jetty with a cargo capacity of 120,000 to 265,000 cubic metres. This capacity will increase to approximately 6 Mtpa by the end of 2013 when a third 180,000 m3 LNG Storage Tank and regasification facilities are added. The LNG Terminal will also feature a secondary berth which comprises a secondary jetty and a tertiary jetty that can cater to a wider range of LNG vessels ranging from 10,000 to 40,000 cubic metres and 60,000 to 265,000 cubic metres respectively. SLNG’s core business include LNG terminalling, storage, throughput, reloading and vessel cool down services. Beyond these, SLNG will continuously explore new LNG business opportunities as it pursues its vision to become the Gateway for LNG in Asia, and establish Singapore as the LNG Hub for the region.
