Bimasena, Indonesia’s Mines and Energy Society was founded in the early months of 1996 and officially inaugurated on 1 December 1997 by the President of the Republic of Indonesia. The society acts as a meeting forum for key players from the private sector and the government with a view to facilitating communications, debate and information exchange between the government, state-owned entities and the private enterprise.
BIMASENA has proven to be an effective bridge between the private sector and the Indonesian Government, enabling the stakeholders across the energy sector to give valuable input particularly with regard to new policy formation.
