Acergy has started its operations in Norway as Stolt Nielsen Seaway, providing divers and remotely operated vehicles to support the exploration that opened up the North Sea in the early 1970s. By 1989 the company had acquired an operating base in Aberdeen, Scotland, and in 1992 bought Comex Services, a French diving and construction company. Today Acergy has more than 30 years of experience in the offshore industry. Acergy has a primary focus on engineering, installation and commissioning of subsea-to-finish projects, as well as inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR). Acergy's extensive experience in subsea, risers and strømningsrørprosjekter company has made to the preferred contractor and a trusted partner for many exploration and production company.
